How do I fix this query criteria problem in Microsoft Access?

I'm trying to make a query that shows the Revenue by Month for 2001 and 2002. In one field I put "Format([order_date], "mmmm yyyy") with the criteria set to >#12/31/2000# And <#01/01/2003#. Then I have the field for Revenue which I know is correct and don't need help with. The problem is when I run the query, it doesn't show anything. What did I do wrong?? Any help is appreciated!!
