Drinking alcohol gets me closer to god?

When I went to church the other day, they ped out alcohol because Jesus's blood was made of it. So we drank Jesus's blood/alcohol. Does this mean if I drink a lot of alcohol I will become closer to god? I am really worried because I haven't been good recently so I want to make up for it, and drinking seems like the easiest way to do it.
