I am becoming a new manager any suggestions?

i have just been promoted to store manager with my company. i have pretty much been in this role at work already for a few months, just not on paper nor getting paid for it but now it is official. i am not nervouse about the job at all. the only thing i am nervouse about is i am being relocated to a new store that i do not know anyone at. i am replacing their store manager, and i know that just as awkward this will be for me i know it will be awkward for thwm too. anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this barrier for both parties? this is my first big time official management position where the success of this store lies with me. i want my team to perform for me and improve their rankings in the company cause right now their not doing so hot. but i dont want to come off as a big jerk either. anybody who has experience in management have any suggestions?
