USPS package being sent to the wrong address!?

I pre-ordered an item back in Feb. The store said they will send me an email when it shipped. I moved in April, and sent the store my new address. Now 4 days ago I got the email from the store saying the package is being shipped in 2-3 days... To my old address! I immediately called the store and their rep found that the address request had not been added to their system. The shipping label had already been sent out, so nothing can be done on their end for now. I did a PO address change online; but it takes 7-10 days to become active. The tracking number states that it will be delivered tomorrow, and from previous experiences the mailman hand delivers packages with very little concern. Plus, from what my former neighbors say the new tenants are not really "neighborly". My sis volunteered to wait and intercept on my behalf, since I have to work; But I wanted to know is there any other way for me to get my stuff?
