Why do people argue, fight, and kill each other over who has the correct idea of God?

As stewards of God we have the responsibility of spreading His message. However, we should never force our beliefs upon anyone. God Himself does not force His love on anyone. It's our choice to either accept or reject. We should reason the Scriptures with one another, not resort to violence, anger, etc over our different views.
